This will translate into a grinding down of Americans standards of living." American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a right-wing think tank, declares open warfar on non-governmental organizations (NGOs) deemed too left-wing seti: NGOs that have fallen foul of its wrath include groups promoting human rights, women, the environment and freedom of speech; among its targets are the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Amnesty International, Greenpeace and the World Organization Against Torture. Only this February, George Bush boasted that 20 AEI members were working for his administration. |
