Coup declared in Guinea after dictator's death

coderman: "A military group seized control of the airwaves in mineral-rich Guinea and declared a coup Tuesday after the death of the West African country's dictator, one of the continent's last strongmen."
coderman: "A group calling itself the National Council for Democracy began announcing its takeover by force with crushing brutality applied to those resisting. Coup leaders met Tuesday evening to decide which of them would take power..."
coderman: "We look forward to expanding the democratic freedoms and economic prosperity in Guinea; we will ensure such progress using military power and coercing compliance from the population by stoking fear and controlling information. Yay democracy!"
