rik: Only called "Penthesis" outside of the Spanish-as-a-first-language world.
kandinski: I'm kind of proud I remembered that from my philology classes some 25 years ago
kandinski: Spanish does not tolerate clusters at the beginning of a word with an /s/ in them, and is well known for adding e- to such words, e.g. especia < "spice", estándar < "standard", estrés < "stress".
